E-invoicing in Germany: How to implement the obligation with SAP Business One

On Feature pack (Abbreviation: FP) is an SAP B1 update package below a major version, which provides new functions and fixes for an existing SAP Business One version. In the context of the Version Financial Suite, the Feature Pack determines whether a client can use the VFS fully or only with restrictions.

Context

VFS sets minimum version requirements for SAP B1. Older feature packs may be usable with restrictions — certain VFS functions require newer FP versions. The supported minimum version for VFS from 07.2025 is Build 2305 of SAP Business One Version 10.0. SAP B1 9.3 is not supported, irrespective of the feature pack level. Demarcation

The feature pack is not identical to the patch level. A patch level is a technical version status below a feature pack and typically contains exclusively error corrections, not new functions.
