On Client In SAP Business One, a tenant is a standalone database instance that completely maps a company code — typically a legal entity or a business. The postings, master data, and settings of one tenant are separated from other tenants on the same SAP B1 server.
Context
The standalone version of the VFS Financial Cockpit allows concurrent access to multiple clients without the user needing to log out and back in. Tax advisors and accountants who look after multiple companies in SAP B1 can thereby switch between clients without leaving their working context.
