E-invoicing in Germany: How to implement the obligation with SAP Business One

Of the Patch level This is the technical version status below a Feature Pack in SAP Business One. It refers to correction updates that fix errors in an existing FP version without adding new functionalities. In the VFS context, the patch level is relevant for the compatibility check: SAP B1 9.3 is not supported by VFS regardless of the patch level.

Context

The VFS version documentation names the patch level as an exclusion criterion for SAP B1 9.3: No patch level version of this main version is VFS-compatible. For SAP B1 10.0, however, the exact build status (minimum requirement: Build 2305 from VFS 07.2025) is crucial – here, an outdated patch level can lead to restrictions in the range of functions. Demarcation

The patch level is not identical to the feature pack. A feature pack contains new functions and alters the scope of functionality; a patch level only corrects known errors within an existing feature pack.
