Richard Duffy is back! After a short break away from SAP, he seems to have remembered the qualities of SAP Business One. He is now posting videos online again for one of SAP's Australian partners and probably still has a lot to do with the new features of SAP Business One 9.2.
A new feature he introduced in a new video on Youtube is in the depths of the customizing of SAP Business One 9.2. It concerns the linking to Business objects within SAP Business One. Although this was already possible in the past, it required somewhat more in-depth skills. In this way, however, this can be taught to every user who should and may make such a link.
This example that Richard is showing is for creating a reference to a delivery note in SAP Business One for a service case. To do this, a user-defined field is created in SAP Business One with the type “Link to System Object“. This is done in the usual way in SAP Business One. When creating the field, you can immediately specify which object you want to refer to. The corresponding selection field then appears in the relevant screen with all documents related to the business partner.
It's the little things that make life more beautiful!
