It is not yet 100% clear when SAP Business One 10 will be released. The new version of the successful ERP Software for SAP's midmarket, however, is sending out its harbingers.
SAP Business One 10 - Sources

A PowerPoint file from SAP is apparently currently the source for some publications from SAP partners. The screenshots and texts are very similar. In fact, this document is labelled "Internal | SAP Employees and Partners Only". In addition, the presentation is from June 2019 on the occasion of an SAP event for partners. The timing and nature of the information therefore suggest that one or two details of the new version of SAP B1 will be changed or postponed. One of the few other sources is a blog post by Maciej Fuchs, an. SAP Director Product Management. In the article with the title "SAP Business One - the future of Browser Access" the web client and access via the web browser is discussed in detail. The comments on the blog are also well worth reading.

Much more than just a further development
An ERP system lives from the past and the ability to develop further. The treasure of the past are the processes that can be implemented in the ERP software. User feedback can constantly improve and expand these. The challenge that SAP Business One 10 must meet lies in the future. Linear further development does not meet the requirements of digital transformation. The creators of SBO 10 explicitly recognise this.
"Intelligent ERP and process automation through elements such as machine learning and Internet of Things" is the keyword here.

SAP Business One 10 - International
At the same time, SAP does not forget a pound that SAP B1 can capitalize on: international Alignment. "Core functions and localisation have been expanded on the basis of market feedback," it says. The company is not only focussing on ambitious SMEs. SBO is also widely used in corporate groups. They use the software as a branch system in thousands of foreign subsidiaries.
HANA and lots of integration

In addition to the web client, the use of the SAPHANA technology plays a key role. SAP B110 is intended to utilise the capabilities of HANA to data analysis even better. Apart from that, the integration framework is playing an increasingly important role for SAP Business One. The new version 2.0 has been fundamentally revised. The integration platform provides standard connectors to SAP and non-SAP software. In addition to SAP Ariba and S/4 HANA, there are prepared connections such as to SUGAR CRM, Amazon and Magento.
Interesting scenarios also arise, for example, through the connection to services such as LinkedIn, facebook and whatsapp.
SAP Business One 10 & Office 365
Just recently, SAP and Microsoft expanded their partnership. A special partnership could develop between SBO 10 and MS Office 365. Starting with the e-mail integration and the permanent connection with Excel through to the use of OneDrive to distribute documents. There is a lot of potential in this announcement for the new version of SAP B1.
Multitenant database containers
An announcement for SAP Business One 10 is making everyone who operates larger SAP B1 landscapes sit up and take notice. The promise that SAP B1 can now also be operated with multi-tenant database containers (MDC). Multi-tenancy is an architecture in which a single instance of a software application serves multiple customers. For example, you can run an instance of your application on an instance of a database and grant web access to several customers.
Some of the resulting benefits:
- Central configuration & administration
- Direct database resource management
- performance optimization
- Performance advantages (no virtualization effort)
- Lower costs
