Successful through the ERP project: employee integration

Not so long ago, the Introduction of an ERP solution as a purely technical project and therefore the responsibility of the IT department of the respective company. Staff integration fails due to lack of communication

The lack of knowledge and integration from other departments in the company, as well as their scepticism towards the new system, often led to the failure of ERP projects: The solution that was determined to be the right one was not accepted because the users could neither cope with the system nor felt that their needs were recognised. Hostility towards IT grew, as the costs of the project for the end users bore no relation to its efficiency. The old systems were used until the last possible moment and any new installation was delayed.

The change process is now an integral part of every ERP project. This makes the employees the basis for a successful introduction of the new solution. Each individual can not only adapt to the changed or new processes as a worker, but also help to actively shape the solution. After all, there is no better driving force in ERP projects than people from the specialist departments. The Process optimisation or individual work steps ultimately benefit first and foremost those who actually use them in the end. And then the employees operate the employee integration in the ERP project.
