On Order processing contract, (DPA) is a mandatory written agreement based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is always required when a company has personal data processed by an external service provider. The DPA regulates the rights and obligations of both parties in detail and defines, among other things, the technical and organisational measures to protect the data. The DPA is essential for the commissioning company, as it retains full responsibility for data protection despite the outsourcing. When using ERP systems from the cloud, it is therefore crucial to carefully scrutinise the provider in order to ensure the GDPR compliance with SAP Business One must be ensured.
