Data Cube refers to a term from the data warehouse-theory and describes a logical representation of data. The data is arranged as elements of a multidimensional cube. The individual dimensions of the cube describe the data and provide easy access. This data can be accessed via one or more axes of the cube. Data cubes are also known as cube operators, OLAP cubes or OLAP cubes. The term OLAP originates from the data analysis and is called Online Analytical Processing.
